Maybe you’ve noticed me
watching from afar
standing on a corner
as you drive past in your car
underneath a streetlight
on the sidewalk late at night
or sitting on a park bench
in the corners of your sight
now the joys of life for you are gone
you ignored the sign something was wrong
Now I’m going to drink from your skull
once I start I don’t stop until I’m full
You should have paid attention
to the feeling of unease
that with every chance encounter
started to increase
it’s funny how you tell yourself
that everything is fine
even when you sensed it
in your stomach and your mind
now the joys of life for you are gone
you ignored the sign something was wrong
Now I’m going to drink from your skull
once I start I don’t stop until I’m full
I’m the psychic parasite
poisoning your mind
feasting on your sanity
siphoning your life
soon you won’t remember
a time I wasn’t there
and I’m going to savor
every single year

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

I'm kicking my own ass for somehow missing this when it released. Expertly arranged death metal with kick drums that could demolish a high-rise. zirtonic

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
